Church is Family; Relationships are Authentic; Love is for All.
Collister UMC is a loving church community. As followers of Jesus Christ, Collister UMC strives to be a committed church family where all people are seen, heard, known and deeply loved. At its best, this community will cultivate honest and authentic relationships with God and each other.
CURRENT MINISTRIES
TAFT HOUSING PROJECT Collister UMC recognizes the current housing crisis spreading throughout the Treasure Valley. In response, our congregation built two units (3 bedroom 2 bath homes) of affordable housing on church property. To accomplish this, Collister UMC partnered with LEAP Housing Solutions, a local non-profit working to solve the affordable housing crisis in Idaho. Families moved into these homes in October of 2022. See this News Stories for more Information. |
MISSION AND MINISTRY Collister UMC is involved in a variety of supportive efforts for our community. As needs arise in our city, our members step up to serve, to solve problems and to love those in need. Whether it be at our partner school Taft Elementary, or neighbors experiencing homelessness, or non-profits helping Boiseans significantly impacted by job loss, Collister UMC steps up to serve in creative ways. |
STUDY AND PRAYER GROUPS We offer a variety of opportunities to grow in faith through Bible studies, prayer groups and short term classes. Groups meet both in-person and online |
RECONCILING MINISTRIES We celebrate God’s gift of diversity and value the wholeness made possible in community equally shared and shepherded by all... |

Miriam's SongThe Mural is a depiction of Exodus 15. After Israel is set free from bondage and slavery in Egypt, the prophet Miriam leads Israel in a song of victory and gratitude to God.

MissionThis artwork was created by a woman of color, depicting a woman of color. It is a reminder that the church is not only called to fight individual acts of injustice, we are called to dismantle systems of injustice, the way God dismantled the Egyptian system of slavery and oppression.
