As a United Methodist congregation, we believe every person carries the image of God and deserves safety, dignity, and belonging. Our commitment to immigrant and refugee justice flows from this conviction and from our call to stand with those who are displaced, seeking refuge, or building a new life in our community.

We partner with Glocal to support this work in practical and relational ways—through English Classes offered in our church building, hosting diaper bank and baby showers, offering learning opportunities and town hall meetings to better understand how to serve the needs of our immigrant and refugee neighbors. These partnerships help us deepen our understanding, expand our compassion, and act with greater courage and clarity.

Our hope is to be a church that not only welcomes newcomers but actively works for justice alongside them. This is part of our ongoing journey of becoming a community shaped by hospitality, solidarity, and the love of Christ.

At Collister United Methodist Church, we occasionally have photos and videos being taken of events to celebrate the moments. Photography, videography, and live streaming through zoom may be occurring during services, ministry projects, fellowship time, small groups and events. These are often used, but not limited to, printed and electronic materials and digital/social media. While we reserve the right to record and photograph events, services, etc., we strive to use them in safe and positive outlets. We will endeavor by default not to show faces of any kids or adults without verbal permission and if you need further precaution please speak to on one of our pastors. Please understand that we cannot remove your image from live streaming events but recording of that video is never publish afterwards.
